A 5-star boutique hotel in Sicily welcomes you in an old villa, a little haven of beauty and refined luxury housed in a striking Art Nouveau building of the early twentieth century.
The villa of Mon Repos welcomes you for a relaxing stay in the most elegant atmosphere of a boutique hotel in Sicily, to live in luxury and tranquility, staying in suites always illuminated by sunlight and consisting of tastefully furnished large rooms. Enjoying a unique view of Isola Bella and Etna, one of the most fascinating parts of the east coast of Sicily, let yourself be pampered by the unique atmosphere of Mon Repos.
The villa is built in Art Nouveau style, with a typical design of the Italian early twentieth century design. The owner of the time, the Russian Joseph Stempel, chose the name “Mon Repos” for this charming home. But it was in the 60s when, with this name, the building became famous: in those years, when the International Dolce Vita moved into the mundane Taormina for summer, the building housed the Casino, and was visited by international stars, including Gregory Peck, Cary Grant and Marlene Dietrich, who loved lounging on the terrace of the Villa.
Nowadays the boutique hotel on the sea of Sicily is the result of a careful renovation that honors the building and its history, as well as the extraordinary location overlooking Isola Bella and the Mermaid Bay on one side and the top of Mount Etna on the other.
